All in a Weekend!

Last week was our annual time share up in Snowbird. I hadn't been up there in a couple of years so it was nice to get away for a couple of days and just relax! Our condo overlooks the heated family pool. This is both good and bad. Good-because growing up our parents would send us down and then sit on the patio and watch us. They never really did answer my question of "What was your plan if one of us was drowning?" Were they going to jump 3 stories into the bushes? Thankfully, we never had to find out. Bad-It's really noisy at times! Thankfully the pool closes at 9 pm and they kick everyone out at 9.

Well, Ashlyn has never been to snowbird and she was SO excited when she saw that there was a pool and she could go swimming! Here's her reaction:

Paige and Olivia were out of school for UEA so they came up with us. In the 2 days we were there Ashlyn, Paige and Olivia went swimming 3 times. I went 2 times. The girls took Ashlyn so I could try and take a nap since Ashlyn didn't sleep that great the first night. The last night we were there, Ashlyn did not want to get out of the pool. We were in there for nearly 2 hours. The kid has no fear. I think her favorite part was in the shallow end, she could touch the bottom so she didn't need to hold onto anyone. However, she would then try to venture out to the deeper end and would then get annoyed when I tried to hold onto her. She is definitely a fish out of water!

The other thing Ashlyn really liked about Snowbird was she didn't have a high chair/booster seat up there. She was a big girl and got to sit in a chair. Ahh the little things in life! Every morning for breakfast, she would sit by Paige and want to eat Paige's cereal. I also gave her toast with our homemade raspberry peach jam. Here are a few pictures of her licking the toast. Hey, who said anything about actually eating the bread!

And while we were there, Ashlyn learned how to say M&M's and Olivia. It's hilarious!

Overall it was a much needed low key weekend, filled with Chick Flicks, treats, and lots of swimming fun!

HEY, Scoty does that same thing with toast or sandwiches, although he picks the jam off...and leaves the bottom half of the bread there....silly kid!
